Kitambulisho cha Taifa (NIDA)

The National Identification Authority (NIDA) would like to inform all citizens who apply for National Identity Cards that copies of the required attachments are as follows; - Jinsi ya kuapata kitambulisho cha Taifa Mtandaoni (Online)

  1. Birth Certificate (Cheti cha kuzaliwa)
  2. Voters ID (Kitambulisho cha mpiga kura)
  3. Primary & Secondary education certificates (Vyeti vya elimu ya Msingi na Sekondari)
  4. Driver's License (Leseni ya Udereva)
  5. Health Insurance ID (Kitambulisho cha Bima ya Afya)
  6. Passport (Pasi ya kusafiriya)
  7. Tax payer Identification number - TIN (Namba ya Utambulisho ya Mlipa Kodi - TIN)
  8. Zanzibar Resident ID (Kitambulisho cha Mzanzibari Mkaazi)
  9. Marriage certificate and Membership card of social security fund (Cheti cha ndoa na Kitambulisho cha Uanachama wa Mfuko wa Hifadhi ya Jamii)
  • For a citizen who does not have any of the attachments mentioned above, he is requested to come to the Registration Office in the District where he lives to be provided with a procedure that will help him to register. .
  • Thus, a citizen should not be charged money and forced to bring a copy of the affidavit (Affidavit) as a document of identification when he needs to be registered for the purpose of obtaining a National Identity Card.
  • However, as a result, some unscrupulous young staff members have been forced to submit "Affidavit" as a supplement, which is contrary to NIDA's procedures and requirements.
  • As a result of such misconduct, various disciplinary action has been taken against unscrupulous officials.
  • I emphasize that the ID for Tanzanian citizens is FREE. there is no cost to the citizen when he goes to register for the first time
