The Registration, Insolvency and Trusteeship Agency (RITA) would like to inform the applicants of Higher Education Student Loans for the 2018/2019 academic year as an exercise to verify the birth certificates of applicants, and the death certificates of parents of applicants nationwide as which we have agreed with the Higher Education StudentLoan Board (HESLB) continues in the following ways:
  1. Applicant to submit a copy of the certificate to the District Commissioner's Office where he obtained the Birth Certificate;
  2.  Applicants living outside the District where they received the Birth Certificate as well as those in Dar es Salaam Region, log on to the website at: http://uhakiki.rita.go.tz/uhakiki for information on how to send a copy of the certificate and receipt of charge. After verification the verified certificate will be sent via the applicant's address online. 
Rita Verification Fee for each certificate is TShs. 3,000 / = (three thousand) to be paid through NMB Bank to Administrator General Collection Account No. 20610009881 or CRDB Bank on Administrator General Collection Account no. 0150339892600

Each applicant should submit / send a copy of a legible certificate for verification accompanied by a copy of the payment receipt. Similarly, the procedure mentioned above will be used for verifying the death certificates of the parents.

In addition, We would like to urge all applicants to follow the procedure outlined above to avoid inconvenience.
