DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • He will conduct a Livestock Disease Survey for pastoralists in his areain collaboration with the Health Inspectors, he will inspect the meat and cleanliness of the Slaughterhouses on a regular basis.
  • He will collect meat and animal products such as skins and report.
  • He will treat Veterinary Diseases under the supervision of a Veterinarian and advise Breeders on how to protect Livestock against Disease.
  • He will visit the Pastoralists regularly and give them professional professional advice in his area of ​​work.
  • He will collect all Livestock Development Statistics in his area.
  • He will advise and supervise the construction of Diplomas, Abattoirs, Clamps and Structures related to better animal husbandry.
  • He will oversee the joss medicine mix.
  • He will be responsible for the relocation and production of livestock in general.
  • He will advise breeders on the best methods of milk production and calf care.
  • He shall perform the other functions of his profession as assigned by his Chief of Staff

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE    

Eligible applicant should be Form Six (VI) graduates who have graduated from Veterinary Diploma training from the College of Agriculture and Livestock or any other college recognized by the Government.
