The Vignan Institute of Science and Technology is a private institute recognized by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE). The Vignan Educational Foundation-Tanzania initiated the establishment of the Institute plan to produce large number of healthcare professionals prepared to serve primarily in the rural areas of Tanzania where majority of its people live. VIST will use its experienced teachers and state of the art teaching facilities appropriately to prepare competent healthcare professionals who will be deployed all over Tanzania for achieving equity-oriented national health goals.
Students mostly Tanzanians along with students from other parts of the world, live, learn and play in the sprawling campus, located in the Mbezi Beach area of Dar es Salaam.
