The
Tanzania National Examinations Council wishes to inform all prospective
applicants for Form Four Examination (CSEE) and Qualifying Test (QT),
in 2023 as Private candidates that;
- The window for registration period for Private Candidates is 01/01/2023 to 28/02/2023. The registration fee is 50,000/= for Form four Examination (CSEE) and 30,000/= for Qualifying Test (QT). Note; Those who will register late ie from 01/03/2023 to 31/03/2023 will pay 65,000 /= for the Form Four Examination (CSEE) and 40,000/= for the Qualifying Test (QT).
- Before registering online, applicants should go to Examination Centers to take reference numbers provided free and make payment of fees through Post or Bank using 'Control Number'.
- Explanation about the procedure of steps to follow in making 'Control Number' and register, you have been given on the website of the Tanzania Board of Examinations: www.necta.go.tz. In addition, for candidates who will not be able to use the system they should go to the Post office or call 0738785945 for more help.
- All applicants should be urged to ensure that they register early as the system of registration will be closed immediately after the registration period is over.

Qualifying Test (QT)
The Qualifying Test examination will be administered to private candidates intending to sit for the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), but do not have Form II level secondary education.The Qualifying Test will comprise questions from Civics, Cross Cutting issues, English Language, Kiswahili, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Qualifying Test draws as much as possible from the form I and II national syllabus but focus more on testing knowledge and skills equivalent to National Form II Examination.
The main objective of the Qualifying Test is to determine whether the prospective candidates have attained secondary education equivalent to form two level and thus are in a position to sit for the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
