The US Presidential Cadillac - universally known as 'The Beast' - is one of the world's most daunting vehicles, an 18-foot tank with weapons and specs that would even meet with Q's approval.

  • DOORS: Armour-plated, eight inches thick and the weight of a cabin door on a Boeing 757 jet. When closed they form a 100% seal to protect the occupants in the event of a chemical attack.

  • REAR COMPARTMENT: Seats President and up to four passengers with glass partition - only the President has a switch to lower it. Car has panic button and its own oxygen supply

  • BOOT: Fire fighting system, tear gas and smoke-screen dispensers

  • REAR SEATS: President’s seat has a satellite phone with a direct line to the Vice President and the Pentagon

  • FUEL TANK: Armour plated and filled with a special foam that prevents it from  exploding even after a direct hit 

  • WINDOWS: Five layers of glass and polycarbonate, they can withstand armour piercing bullets. The only window that can open- by just three inches is the driver’s

  • BODYWORK: Military grade armour at least five inches thick.Combination of dual hardness steel, aluminium, titanium and ceramic to break up projectiles

  • DEFENSE ACCESSORIES: Pump action shotguns and tear gas cannons. Bags of the President’s Rh-negative blood type kept on board in case he needs a transfusion

  • CHASSIS: Reinforced steel plate protects against bombs

  • TYRES: The Kevlar-reinforced tyres are shred and puncture resistant with steel rims underneath. enabling the car to escape even if tyre is destroyed

  • CHAUFFEUR: Trained by the US Secret Service to cope with the most demanding of driving conditions - including escape and evasion and a 180-degree 'J-turn’
