Njuweni Institute of Hotel Catering and Tourism Management is among the best hospitality training institutions in Tanzania.We have been in the industry since 1999, contributed tremendously to the social development by training hospitality courses to Tanzanian who have been employed in different establishments and other have been established their own ventures.

COURSES OFFERED

The Institute conducts different short and long courses. The Short courses duration vary from two months to nine months

  1. Front Office Operations
  • The front office or reception is an area where visitors arrive and first encounter a staff at a place of business. Front office staff will deal with whatever question the visitor has and put them in contact with a relevant person at the company.
  1. Food and Beverage Services and Sales
  • Customer satisfaction drives the F&B Service department which is part of the Food & Beverage function. By providing excellent customer care and applying sales techniques the department can contribute significantly to the success of an establishment.
  1. Tourism and Tour Guiding
  • A person who provides assistance, information on cultural, historical and contemporary heritage to people on organized tours and individual clients at educational establishments, religious and historical sites, museums, and at venues of other significant interest, attractions sites.[
  1. Housekeeping
  • Housekeeping refers to the management of duties and chores involved in the running of a household, such as cleaning, cooking, home maintenance, shopping, laundry and bill payment. These tasks may be performed by members of the household, or by other persons hired for the purpose.
  1. Food Production
  • The food production industry takes fruits, vegetables and grains in their harvested forms as well as meat directly after the butchering process and processes these into the types of food products that are available for sale in supermarkets.
  1. Basic Hotel and Catering Management
  • Hotel Management is an area of interest which covers all operational aspects related to the hotel industry and food service industry such as hotels, restaurants, cafes’, and various other food service operations.
  1. Video Shooting
  • Video production is the process of producing video content. It is the equivalent of filmmaking, but with images recorded digitally instead of on film stock.
  1. Basic Computer Studies
  • Computer Applications is designed to test students' abilities to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications software, including integration of applications.
