BULONGWA HEALTH SCIENCES INSTITUTE (BHSI)

Diploma In Clinical Dentistry

This is a course which trains Dental Therapists and awarding a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry. It is a three year program. It was established in 2004. The awarding Board is the Tanganyika Medical Board.

Diploma in Clinical Medicine

This is the course which trains Clinicians and awarding a Diploma in Clinical Medicine. It is a three year program which was established in 2018. The awarding board is the Tanganyika Medical Board

Nursing And Midwifery Program

This is course which trains Nurse Midwives and awarding a technician certificate in Nursing and Midwifery. The awarding Board is a Tanzania Nurses and Midwifery Council. It is a two years program established in 2009 with a permit from TNMC.

Clinical Medicine/Clinical Assistants

Is a two year program of certificate in clinical medicine.

Community Health Worker

Is a newly one year developed course by the Ministry of Health,gender,elderly and children.

ADMISSION-REQUIREMENTS - BULONGWA HEALTH SCIENCES INSTITUTE (BHSI)

The entry requirements are adopted from MoHSW and NACTE.

Diploma in Dental Therapist  (entry requirements)

A pass in ordinary level secondary school for the following subjects: Biology C, Chemistry D, Physics D, Mathematics D and English D will be eligible.

Diploma in Clinical Medicine (entry requirements)

A pass in ordinary level secondary school for the sciences subjects of Biology C, Chemistry C and Physics D, English D and Mathematics D.

Certificate Nursing And Midwifery (entry requirements)

A pass in Biology C, Chemistry C, Physics D, and English D. Also a pass in Mathematics is an added Advantage

Certificate in Clinical Assistants (entry requirements)

A pass in Biology D, Chemistry D, Physics D, Mathematics D and English D.

Community Health  (entry requirements)

A pass in four subjects including BIOLOGY, EXCEPT RELIGIOUS SUBJECTS.
