Matokeo ya darasa la saba 2025 Rukwa - PSLE-2025/2026 EXAMINATION RESULTS, MKOA WA RUKWA

Rukwa Region was established in 1974 with the division of parts of Tabora Region (Mpanda) and Mbeya (Sumbawanga). In July 2010 the Fourth Phase Government approved the division of Rukwa Region and the establishment of a new Katavi Region.

 Regional Geography

Rukwa Region is located between Latitude 7⁰ - 9⁰ South of Equator and Longitude 30⁰ - 32⁰ East of Greenland. This region is bordered by Katavi Regions in the North and Songwe in the South East; In addition, it borders Zambia to the south and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west.
The highest point in Rukwa Region is located in Malonje in the Ufipa Highlands which is 2,461 meters above sea level and the lowest point is Lake Tanganyika with 773 meters above sea level. You may also view  matokeo la 4 | matokeo kidato cha 4

Rukwa Regional Area

The region has an area of 27,765 square kilometers, of which 22,844 square kilometers (82.3%) are land and 4,921 square kilometers (17.7%) are water.

Economic Activities in Rukwa

Economically, the residents of Rukwa Region are engaged in, food and commercial agriculture, livestock, the tourism industry, mining, fisheries, small industries as well as small businesses. The main economic activity is Agriculture, where the most widely grown food crops are Maize, Rice, Sweet Potatoes, Round Potatoes, Cassava, Beans and Care. The most widely grown commercial crops are Sunflower, Wheat, sesame and palm oil. In addition, surplus food crops such as maize, rice, beans, sorghum, wheat, barley and groundnuts are also used as commercial crops. Livestock remains the second most important economic activity in Rukwa Region. The main breeds are Cattle, Goats, Pigs, Sheep, Donkeys and Poultry
